Race To Mat is a fun mat work variation for dogs that are solid in basic mat work. We will now introduce an element of speed and racing – which makes this more exciting for our dogs!

As a general rule:
The more speed you add to a known behavior, the harder it gets for the dog to do it well.
This is why it is really important that the dog can do it at low speed first (walking to the mat) before advancing to racing.
