Food Chasing from Hand Inside

This type of food engagement is basically “really fun luring”.

You can experiment with different ways to have your dog chase the food in your hand:

  • running away with your back to the dog
  • running away with your face to the dog
  • moving your hand around in circles
  • combining food chases on the ground and chasing the food in your hand …

Pay attention to your dog: Which one does he like the most? Do more of those variations that he really enjoys.

I personally do not use a cue for either type of food chasing. I might say “get it” or something else motivating (or just random blabla like I do in the video 😉 ).
However, if you want to introduce a verbal cue for this, you certainly can do so!
