Let’s try settling without a mat. It is really important that your dog has a nice reinforcement history of settling on the mat first – otherwise this exercise will be confusing and frustrating for them.

As always, start in very easy environments (e.g. in your driveway) and work your way up the distraction scale based in the environmental difficulty sheet you filled out 🙂
