Time to take By My Side to a social setting.
Refer to your distraction worksheet. You could for example try this out at a local park when it’s not busy or in a parking lot at a distance to passer-bys.


Btw: In this video you can see something unplanned: A car stopped close by us and people got out. This was not part of our “low distraction” plan.

We left it in the video so you can see how we react: Do whatever the dog can do best.
For Fox, doing some tricks in this moment was much easier than continuing to heel.

If you get surprised like this, you can also just switch to some food engagement games … or even stop the training for a few minutes and continue when the distraction is gone 🙂
